Innovation in Housing.
In 2019, Housing Virginia and the Virginia Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech sought to create a unique learning experience enabling participants to hear from speakers on the cutting edge of change and experience the latest initiatives across the industry. Thus, HousingX was born.
HousingX hosts two types of events: first, our bi-annual "un-conference," Rethink the Box. The first Rethink the Box was held on May 22nd, 2019 in Richmond.
Second, we host xChats—a newly initiated series of panel discussions designed to bring innovators in the housing industry into conversation with local communities. The first xChats talk was hosted on October 9th, 2019 in Richmond.
